It’s 2012! Weeeeeee!
Funnily enough, it doesn’t feel any different to 2011, except that I’ve been sober the entire year, all 46 hours of it. Which can’t be said for the people we had over on NYE. One dude whose name I don’t know was super-drunk and decided to do a “Tequila Suicide”, where he snorted salt, gulped down the tequila and squirted lemon in his eye.

Me? I was too busy enjoying Pepsi Max. And these days I’m kinda over the whole getting drunk thing. It’s not to say I don’t enjoy drinking, more of a money thing really, and with grog being so expensive, it’s probably best I don’t drink.
Anyway, I made it to the Gold Coast fine for Christmas. Came back also fine. The Liberty never had a problem, but still needs a service. It was good to get a few days off work, definitely should do it again sometime. Actually, I’ll be having a week off in two weeks’ time, spending the 17th in Sydney for Mike Patton/Mondo Cane and the other few days doing nothing. Awesome. Can’t wait. Maybe I should’ve taken two weeks off.
And that’s the story of how I went to the Gold Coast for Christmas and spent my New Year’s Eve drinking Pepsi Max.
